Keynote Speaker (TBA)
Eliminating the Waiting Room with Versus
Presenter: Cheryl Becker, RHIA, CPHQ, Manager, Clinic Operations, Aurora Health Care
No one likes to wait, especially in a doctor’s office, where the person sitting next to you may have a condition you don’t want to catch. Yet how do you design clinic workflow without a waiting room, where exam rooms are always free for the next patient, where patients make their own way through the halls, and where providers and staff easily know where to go next? In this session, Cheryl shares the initiative that garnered her the Medical Group Management Association’s (MGMA) Harwick Innovation Award: a care-delivery model supported by Versus that results in a calm, quiet, healthier clinic with efficient flow and a collaborative care environment.
New this year! Breakouts will be client-led by an experienced user in each use case.

Diving into Data for Performance Improvement
Presenter: Rodney Haas, Organizational Performance Management, Principal, University of Minnesota Physicians
Versus documents a wealth of workflow metrics presented through Reports Plus™ Analytics: wait times, room utilization, staff productivity and more. What are the best practices for using this data to effect change in your organization? Rodney presents a fascinating case study for performance improvement, discussing how RTLS data led to multiple initiatives at the University of Minnesota’s Health Clinics and Surgery Center. Learn how UofM used their data to change the way they schedule and utilize exam rooms, improve staffing models, and more.

Nursing & RTLS: Increasing Care at the Bedside
Presenter: Linda Fahey, RN, DNP, Chief Nursing Officer, Decatur Memorial Hospital
Several studies have shown that nurses aren't spending enough face time with patients. How do you know if this is true in your hospital? Continuous manual observation isn't practical, and asking nurses to document their time can be another distraction from patient care. Linda will share the study she conducted at Decatur Memorial Hospital using RTLS, and how she's incorporating the data into a new patient care model aimed at increasing time at the bedside.
Creating a Cross-Functional Team for Hand Hygiene Improvement
Presenter: Hope Olsen, Project Manager, JPS Hospital
A huge key to success for any hand hygiene initiative is facilitating organizational buy-in and building a cross-functional team. As JPS Hospital embarks on their latest RTLS project, a Versus Advantages™ Hand Hygiene Safety implementation, Hope Olsen has done a phenomenal job with just that. She will share how she has rallied support among many different stakeholders — Quality, IT, Infection Control, Nursing, Physicians, Knowledge Management, Plant Operations and Environmental Services — to create a common goal of increasing hand hygiene and reducing hospital-acquired infections.

Bill Crounse, MD, Senior Director, Worldwide Health, Microsoft
VUE15 was great for networking and sharing new and innovative ways that Versus and RTLS technology can be used with different platforms. We left the conference with both immediate and future plans to implement what we learned from sharing best practices with the group. The Versus staff were also great! They made everyone feel very welcome and were extremely helpful - this was not a "sales pitch," and the quality of discussion was truly helpful.
Allen, Medical Practice Administrator
The VUE is a great opportunity to network with a smaller, intimate group of healthcare systems that are truly taking steps to improve patient care. I can never see not bringing back ideas to implement that would enhance our patient care.
James, IT Manager
The VUE is truly an excellent opportunity to share ideas with other organizations across the country.
Jeremy, RN, Director of Nursing Operations
The VUE is an incredible opportunity to connect with other organizations who utilize the Versus system. This in turn plants new seeds on ways to maximize our own return. It was a fun and personal event that I hope to attend each year.
Doug, Systems Analyst
The VUE is a great opportunity to get the latest information about Versus and current technology, along with a chance to network with a variety of people in different roles for a fresh perspective.
Diane, RN, Director of Perioperative Services
The VUE offers the best way to fully understand the benefits of RTLS — by seeing what's working in other settings.
Rachel, Senior Project Manager
Attending the VUE will increase your knowledge and provide additional ways to leverage the Versus system in your organization.
